Classroom Environmental Checklists for Preschool Classrooms
Our goal for offering this service is to help support teachers and schools by creating a classroom that promotes communication development in a language-rich environment with appropriate auditory, visual, and tactile stimulation.
Our service includes the Speech-Language Pathologist’s visit and observation of school-specified classrooms, a completed Environmental Checklist examining various areas of the classroom environment, discussion of findings with school staff and administrators, and a proposed action-plan. This action plan could include simple changes such as different use of visual supports or more involved suggestions such as acoustic paneling or classroom organization.

Consultation for Educators
Intermittent consultation with educators is included in the treatment for children being seen by our practice. We’re also available for consultations with teachers who have questions about children not receiving services.
While ensuring the privacy and safety of any child involved, we are happy to provide support to educators who feel they need more targeted advice for specific children in their classroom.
These consultations are typically provided by phone or email. If you wish to name and discuss a particular child, please note that parent consent will be required prior to the consultation.
IEP Support
As part of our individualized service to our clients, we provide support for Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings when needed or requested.
We also provide independent educational evaluations (IEE) and recommendations for school districts upon request.
